After deciding which images I was going to use as a starting point, I began creating my first developmental piece. I produced a smaller A4 board as well as a larger circle canvas and these were great for getting to grips working with oils again. Below I’ve included some different stages of the two paintings…
The final paintings are attached below and I am extremely happy with the outcome as they represent exactly what I was aiming for. For a first try, overall, it was a great starting point to have and allowed me to build upon this to create further, more intriguing work.

In addition, in this week I also set up my studio space with my own work, as well as others for inspiration. I photocopied some of my sketchbook pages to put up as well so I can always refer back to them, whilst also including the photoshopped starting point images.
